Heinrich "Henry Catey" Koehte was born in 1776 in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany, the son of Charl and Andreas. He married Jane E Fennimore on October 20, 1802. They had ten children in 20 years. He died on April 14, 1850, at the age of 74, and was buried in Wayne, Indiana.
