I have just acquired a copy of the published book entitled."The Genealogy of the Decendents of George Washington Sevey (Sevy)" compiled by Minerva Sevey Vance and Eileen Sevey Cluff, Printed by Robert l. Pellett, Medford Oregon, 1965, with an insert of updates (13 pages--additions and corrections to 1963)

George Washington Sevey (Sevy) was b. in Leroy, NY in 1832, m. Phoebe Melinda Butler in 1854. George had two other plural marriages and 30 children. He moved to Mexico with his 2nd and 3rd wives and their children. He died in Mexico in 1902. This book deals with his children and his extended family. Many Photos included.

Please e-mail me if you need information from this book.

You might try the Historical Department Library of the LDS Church in Salt Lake City. If you go to www.familysearch.org you can search by author or title to see if the book has been preserved to microfilm.

Just saw your May, 2006 message.
I have a digital copy of Minerva Sevey Vance's GWS book.
Email me if that would suit your purposes.

The book was sold almost immediately to a lady in CA.(in 2004) I have not retained a record of the person's name. A book like it must be in a library somewhere--or on-line used book sales. Sorry.

Randi,

Check the other "threads" to this subject. As I recall, I may have sold the book to Joy Otto (on list). Perhaps she would do a "look-up" for you. Also, another has a digital copy that might find info for you. Other good suggestions are also posted.

I also have a PDF version of "The Genealogy of the Descendants of George Washington Sevey." I saved it when I found it at the online family history archive through Brigham Young University. (Note: I have not been able to access the online version through BYU for a couple months now, though.) Let me know if you want me to send you my saved PDF copy.

My great-grandma was Pearl Sevey, a daughter of George Washington Sevey and Pheobe Melinda Butler.
