Thank you...Absolutely...He was on Leroy P. Anderson's application for Homestead in 1860 stating that he'd known L.P
for 10 years along with a Slankard (A.J)-who married L.P's sister in law...I don't know the connection with L.P....I am hoping that something about Chris would help me find more on L.P...
thanks
Pam

I've been researching this Holley "clan" since 2/2012. Chris would be my GG grandfather's son. His father was Davidson Holley b:1820-21 in Lincoln Co. Tennessee. His mother: Sarah/Sally Roe b:1823, most likely, Tennessee. M: 4/29/1841 Lincoln Co. Tennessee. In Barry Co. Mo. on 1860 federal census. Davidson joined the CSA in the fall of 1861 @ Pocahontas, Ark. Christopher's brother, John, stayed in Missouri and joined the 1st Arkansas Cavalry in 1862. (UNION) Chris also joined the UNION. The 46th Missouri Inf. CO. D in Springfield Mo. He and brother John survived the war, father Davidson apparently did not. E-mail me for more info.
