My grandmother was named MOSCRIP. I find a family of MOSCRIPS in Valley County 1920 census, are there any still there. My great-grandfather was WALTER C. MOSCRIP and was born in Putnam, Ny. He died in Patterson, Ia. Some of his children moved to Osage, Sat.,Canada and later moved even further west. Could have come back to the states. I am unable to find any information in Putnam, Ny. If anyone knows about the MOSCRIPS in Idaho, please help me.

There has been a lot of research in the past couple of years on the Moscrip family. Some researchers in Canada and some in USA.

Does anyone have a Moscrip ancestor who came from Scotland and settled in New York or Pennsylvania in the late 1700's or early 1800's? My grandfather was William S. Moscrip-born in New York in 1830-brothers Edward,Andrew and Robert. Dont know who his parent were. He was killed in the civil war. Would love to share copies of pictures with other moscrips.

My family is related to the Moscip's who immigrated here from Scotland in the early 1800's. Andrew was born in 1808 in Scotland and his father was George born in 1763 in Scotland. I have some photos of more recent family members that I could share, but not the later ones. How about you?

My family is related to the Andrew and George that you reference. I have been trying to find out information about Andrew's wife Fanny White. I have some photos of Andrew and his son. Would love to exchange information.

These are referred to as the Northern Moscrips. The ones I corresponded with were Jim and George Moscrip. Jim was a logistic officer during WWII in Canada and later worked for Pan Am in the Far East. the owner of Duke's Chowder House chain in Seattle is Northern Moscrip.
