Hi Barb . Welcome to our hunt for those damned elusive Grant connections . I totally agree that many if not most of these Grant families are related , with probably a common Grant ancestor in Scotland . Any that appear on McNiff's land holder list 1786 are most likely UEL as well . However my John Duldreggan Grant Lots 25 & 26 SSRR sat out the Revolutionary War and emigrated in 1785 instead [ apparently landing in Philadelphia and , in 1786 , walking up to Glengarry from there] . With probably 17 children it is likely that many of them would have married into UEL families . jyoung-young@hotmail.com is my email and I am happy to chat genealogy with you all . As an aside , some of my Grant family married into the following families Prentice [Daniel KRRNY]; Clark [John ?KRRNY] ; Gallinger [ George KRRNY ] ; Snetsinger [ Matheus KRRNY] .
