As your message is old, you probably already have the MacGillycuddy Genealogy from Broderbund CD #13, Tree # 2148. It will most probably show your ancestor.

This CD will also give you Richard MacGillycuddy's Townlands in 1827. (Richard was The McGillycuddy of The Reeks from 1827-1866, ie Clan Chief).

Coolroe is listed in the Killarney Division as 1,068 acres, Dunkeerron North Barony, Knockane Parish. On the Ordnance Survey of Ireland Discovery Series #78, it shows Coolroe. It is on N72, 5 miles from Killorglin going towards Killarney. It is across the Laune River from Whitefield, where the grand home (called The Reeks) of The McGillycuddy is located. The McGillycuddy burials are nearby in Churchtown. On the Beaufort Golf Course is the ruined tower of the McGillycuddy's castle.

My g,g,g, grandparents were James Daly, steward for Richard McGillycuddy, who married Richard's sister Mary McGillycuddy and lived at The Reeks. They came to US in 1835. Were married in Killorglin about 1809.

Did you know you are a blue blood? Have lots of info on the MacGillycuddys. Wish I could find more on the Dalys.
