About New York, New York, U.S., Extracted Marriage Index, 1866-1937
Vital records are a cornerstone of family history research because they were typically created at or near the time of the event, making the record more likely to be accurate. This collection consists of indexes to marriages reported to the Health Department in the five Boroughs of New York City prior to 1938.
