This collection consists of an index to registers of the Dutch East India Company (VOC), and contains information on ship's pay for persons who sailed with the VOC from the Netherlands to Asia, mostly during the 18th century. Included in the index are members of the core crew, persons working for the VOC settlements in Asia, military personnel, and other persons such as merchants, preachers, or surgeons. Details vary, but the following information may be available for each record.

  • departure date
  • departure place
  • arrival date
  • relative's name

Also included is the name of the archive where the original record can be found, as well as a link to the record on the source website. In most cases, additional information about the original record will be available via that link. In some cases, images of the original records may be available via that link as well.
