Weyrauch Name Meaning
German and Jewish (Ashkenazic): from Middle High German wi(h)rouch, German Weihrauch ‘incense’, hence an occupational nickname for a priest, or a metonymic occupational name for a seller of incense and spices, or, among Jews, mainly an ornamental name. Incense was not used exclusively for religious ceremonies, but was also burnt in the home, as well as being used for medicinal puposes. German: variant of Weirich.
