Tenn Name Meaning

Origin uncertain. The 1881 British census records some thirty bearers of the surname Ten(n), in some cases in compounds such as Ten Brocke, Ten Bruggenkate, and Ten Meer, which are clearly of Dutch origin; whether the other examples are a residual element of such names is a possibility that can be verified only by genealogical research.
