Ruberg Family History

Ruberg Name Meaning

North German (also Rüberg): presumably a habitational name from a lost place in the vicinity of Rübergerbrücke in Westphalia. Swedish: variant of Rudberg. Perhaps an altered spelling of Dutch Rubberg, a variant of Robberecht, itself a variant of Robert; alternatively perhaps, as Debrabandere suggests, a variant of Rodberg.
