We always strive to ensure that the information we provide is accurate. However, we can’t guarantee that every record or transcription is correct. As you may have noticed, not all records are easy to read and our transcribers sometimes make mistakes.
If you have information to correct an error on a specific record, you can share it by adding comments or adding alternate information, you can do so by clicking the "Add alternate information" link on the record page. If you find an error that affects multiple records or cannot be addressed by using the alternate information link, please let us know.
If there is a problem with the source image, please report that using the "Problem with an image" option from the drop-down list.

If you cannot improve an image using the tools in the image viewer, or if you discover an image that is missing or incorrect, please let us know about it. We do periodic maintenance projects on our major collections; your reports help us track down issues among our hundreds of millions of images. Keep in mind that we are typically unable to fix issues that might appear in the original source such as ink stains, rips and holes or physical obstructions.
If the icon appears on the page that states “No Image - text only collection” then Ancestry does not have access to an image for that record.
