Kaak Name Meaning
North German and Dutch: metonymic occupational name for someone who puts people into the pillory or a nickname for someone who was pilloried from Middle Low German and Dutch kaak (Middle Dutch cake) ‘pillory’. Dutch: from the personal name Kaak a pet form of Nicolaas (see Nicholas ). Dutch (De Kaak): from Middle Dutch cake ‘jaw’ or ‘cheek’ hence a descriptive nickname alluding to some facial peculiarity.
