Green Carver, Confederate Veteran of Gordo, Alabama

Green Carver, son of John CARVER and Nancy CLAYTON was born June 09, 1828 in North Carolina. Green Carver married (1st wife), Lousia POWELL and (2nd wife) Martha L. STAPP, daughter of William Stapp and Mary Maxwell on November 21, 1855.

On 10 Nov 1901, in Greene County, Alabama, Greene Carver married (3) CANDICE MARIAH (EDWARDS), the daughter of Henry (Harry) Buck Edwards and Mariah Horton.
This was CANDICE M. EDWARDS fourth marriage.
Previously she married, also in Greene Co., AL:
(1) GOIN A COCKRELL (1832 – 1865), On 26 Nov 1853,
(2) DEMPSEY BARNES (1806 - 1883), On 17 Feb 1870 &
(3) NEEDHAM JONES, On 6 Mar 1884.
