Today, the Vice President touches down in Ireland, the land of his ancestors, for his first official visit to the country as Vice President.

Upon his arrival he, his family, and staff are greeted by Charles Flanagan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, on the tarmac at Dublin International before they load into the motorcade.

Tomorrow the Vice President will be presented with his family genealogy and then he and Taoiseach Kenny will be making stops in several towns in County Mayo, visiting points of significance.

County Mayo is where Biden's Blewitt family line comes from. Check back tomorrow as we have an interesting story about a Blewitt that we cannot wait to share with you!
