Was baseball a big part of your childhood or community? Do you have a ball used from Sandy Koufax’s perfect game, or a ticket stub from when Hank Greenberg became the first player to hit more than 25 home runs in a season? If you have any interesting baseball collectibles, the National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) wants to see them! In March of 2014, NMAJH will be opening an exhibit called Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Jews in America, and is currently launching a public collecting project on its Tumblr page, http://chasingdreamsbaseball.tumblr.com/
, looking for fans all over the country to post photos and descriptions of their artifacts.
If you think you have a cool piece of baseball history that’s worth sharing, post it on the Chasing Dreams Tumblr page; the Curatorial staff might even ask you to lend your artifact to the upcoming exhibit! If you have any questions about posting, simply press the “Ask the Curators!” button on the left-hand side of the page, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
