They were my words not Ancestry's words, so don't blame Ancestry for my words.
The advice this morning (I live in AU)is that they are investigating it now. The exact response
"Thank you. We are investigating now".
So within 24 hours of the bug being reported they are on to it. I think that is a reasonavble response.
Let's await the outcome before we critcize too much. It is not a major issue in that it doesn't cause the program to crash and there is a workaround.
