No, this is the only Richard B. Greer in my entire file.
I do not know his parents. When he was entered into the data, he HAD no parents, just wife and children, etc. A few weeks later, he turned up with parents who were born fifty years after he was, of a completely different line and name.
This is not the first time this has happened, at least two other times it has happened, but like Colleen, I was able both times to just delete the parents and then re-enter correct ones, as there was very limited information for them and I was not losing anything by doing that. This time, that won't work, as there is a huge amt of information attached to both. I have not done merging or anything--best I can tell, this occurs either on closing the program or upon opening it, and it is always a surprise package, as things were correct when closed down, and jumbled when opening up again.
Colleen has given me her "fix" and I have done those steps, and for now, that has worked, so I am very relieved and grateful. Please work on this problem and let us all know the results. As with a car "rattle", I know you have to be able to replicate the problem in order to view and understand the cause and then fix...good luck to us all!
