Family tree maker 2014 64 bit does not work with Windows 10. I have tried running it in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode. It fails. Windows says that the application is incompatible. I have taken copies of the event log failures (of which there are three) and the crash.txt file created from FTM 2014 and submitted it to email@example.com
. It appears that the issue lies with the application not usinf the .NET framework correctly. I have never received a response back indicating acknowledgment of receipt. It is almost like Ancestry doesn't really care whether their application is compatible or not. Roots Magic also had an issue with Windows 10 compatibility. In the last week they have issued a patch that fixes their problem. One would think that Ancestry should have done the same thing. If I remember correctly, there was an issue with FTM 2014 not working with Windows 8.1 when it was released you think they would've learned their lesson.
