The Community Discussion page [I guess that's what it's called.. via "Get Help" in upper right of main page] anyway had a comment by one of the "volunteer" Ancestry moderators that the reason that they tell people to unlink and re-link their trees is that is solves syncing problems. Now, I have two problems with that. One is that, if you have to make a new tree either on Ancestry or on your computer, that is NOT re-linking a tree, it is making a NEW tree linked to whichever old tree you kept; and still leaves you with the problem of fixing FTM or re-inviting people to ancestry. TWO is, that is not "SOLVING" a syncing problem. I'm not sure what to call it, but to me a solution is finding some way to keep the two trees linked without a break, or at least if it must be broken to re-attach the SAME trees as were attached before.
