I am researching the life of my great grandfather, Thomas Moreen. Some newspaper articles have surfaced which lead me to believe that he died in Douglas on June 18, 1907. The death of a Thomas Moran on that date was reported in Bill Barlow's Budget on June 19, and articles published in Salina Kansas and in Kansas City about a month later identify him as my great-grandfather.
The June 19 article states that at the time of his death he was working as a sheepherder for the Mountain Home Sheep Company, which I understand was a major sheep operation in the area at that time. So what I am looking for is where I might find more information about the Mountain Home Company, and in particular whether any of their original records, specifically personnel records, still exist and if so where. If any records do survive, I am hoping that they might have some information on the Thomas Moran who died in their employ in Douglas.
Any guidance you could provide on whether these records exist, and where, or other places I might inquire, will be much appreciated.
