Pretty sure they weren't foreign- but you never know! This particular generation of the family don't seem to have used the same sort of naming conventions that everyone else was using, though. There are four children in the family that I know of and the older two appear to have been named after some unrelated people rather than parents or grandparents. I haven't been able to use the usual clues in the children's names to trace the previous generation. His middle names are William Dempster, and Dempster is the mother's name so I assume William is probably his grandfather but haven't been able to confirm this. I suspect that he may have gone by the name William.
