My ancestors, Vann's came from Roane County, what used to be Scarboug area/Wheat community. Also been told they lived on Main Street. Need to find out if possible; My gggrandfather Morris 1817, died in 1850 at an early age, do not know the reason, cannot find out. Is there any records
of such, if so where would he be buried and how did he die? Also his wife, Elizabeth King Vann, she died in late 1800s, why and where is she buried. Other record on her would be her father Griffey King, was he Cherokee? My other ggreatgrandmother was Elizabeth Powell Vann, she died around 1903-07, do not know where she is buried. Her husband was Jasper N. Vann, son of Morris and Elizabeth. My latest might be hard to find, my greatest ancestors
Dennis Vann, Dorcus Dickson Vann and Dorcus Vann. Now Dorcus husband was John Isaac Vann, as of 1830 there were records of her in the census, after that don't know when she died or were there any divorce or separation papers on
her from Isaac.
