The memorial service will be today, July 8, for James B. Crenshaw Jr. of Mill City, who died July 5. His family chose not to list the cause of death. He was 58. He was born Nov 19, 1941, in Salem to James and Clara Furber Crenshaw.
He married Nancy Lee Schager in Vancouver, WA., on March 23, 1962. He lived in Noti and Veneta from 1982 to 1990 and worked for Vaughn Plywood and Willamette Industries. He was head mechanic for seven years for the Salem Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and mechanics and was a 27 year member of the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Grande Ronde; a daughter, Karri Lee Wright of Mill City; two sons, Bryan of Stayton and James of Veneta; a brother, Bob of Gates; and six grandchildren.
Today's service will be at 2 p.m. at Calvery Lutheran Church in Stayton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul. Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton is in charge of arrangements.
