SALEM, OH – Jane Catherine Loupe, 90, formerly of Canfield, Ohio who died Sunday morning, January 20, 2013 at Essex House.
Mrs. Loupe was born Oct. 4, 1922, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a daughter of Lawrence and Viola Madura Pawlik Sr.
Jane worked as a salesperson for over 20 years at Strouss’ Dept Store and then Kaufman’s at the Southern Park Mall where she made many friends. She retired in 1987.
Jane was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
Jane leaves her daughter, Elaine Lepowsky of Salem, Ohio; her stepson, Wendell L. Loupe of Houston; her brothers, Edward Pawlik and Lawrence Pawlik Jr., both of Austintown, Ohio; her grandchildren, Charles Lepowsky III of Canfield,Ohio, Clint Lepowsky of Lisbon, Tera Rogers of Poland, Jerome Lepowsky of Struthers, Ohio, Heather Preisser of Panama City, FL. and Holly Melzer of Panama City; and her great-grandchildren, Paige, Cason, Haylee, Callabela and Asher Lepowsky, Jaden Rogers, Gavin Preisser, Bailey and William Melzer.
She also leaves a dear devoted lifelong friend, Ann Detoro of Austintown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell E. Loupe Sr., who died in 1990; her daughter, Nancy; son, David W. Loupe; her sisters, Mary Mihlan and Helen Petrarca; and grandson, Cadon Lepowsky.
There will be services at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield, Ohio Chapel.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
