George Mraz, 545 Monges street, died yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at the Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, where he had been a surgical patient for two and one-half weeks.
Born in Austria-Hungary, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Yuhas) Mraz, and had been a resident of this city most of his life. He was employed at the Hazleton Shaft collliery and was a member of St. John's G. C. church.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Andrew, Stockton; Mrs. Anna Haraschak, Mrs. William Pillonato, Mrs. Verna Fasulka and Stephen Mraz, all of thsi city.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. William Pillonato, 545 Monges street.
A requiem high mass will be held in St. John's G.C. church at 9 o'clock. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from this afternoon until funeral time.
