CHARLES WM. PATRONELLA 1933 - 2007 Charles Wm. Patronella, age 74, a retired architect, contractor, and real estate developer died in Houston, Texas Wednesday, April 11, 2007. He was a native Houstonian and a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1954. Upon graduation, he served as a Lieutenant in U.S. Army as an Intelligence Officer in Frankfurt, Germany until 1958. He served on numerous professional, educational and fraternal boards; including Contractors Association of America, Incarnate Word Academy of Houston, the Italian/American Federation of Houston and the Sacred Heart Society of Little York. Survivors are: Antoinette Sedita Patronella, his wife of 53 years; Carrie Brocco Patronella, mother, 95; his brother Dr. Jerry "Sluggo" Loving, and wife, Arlene; and his four sons, Anthony Patronella, II, and wife, Mary Sue; Christopher Patronella, M.D. and wife, Roseanne; Mark Patronella and wife, Maureen; Michael Patronella and wife, Allyson Patronella, M.D. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, Kecia, Michelle, Brittany, Christopher, Jr., Nicholas, Justin, Anthony "Trey", III, Gabriella, Domenic, Damian, Rachel, Vanessa, numerous other relatives; and loving and caring friend, Lisa Francis and special caregivers Valerie Harris and Myra Velasquez. Charles was always ready and willing to provide counsel and advice to anyone who asked and many who did not. Your love for us was always constant, your devotion never wavered, and your selflessness by always putting your sons first was unsurpassed. Dad, thanks for your unrelenting pursuit of our education, the discipline you demanded of all of us and the wisdom you had to make it all work. This was the noblest Roman of them all. His life was gentle. The elements so mixed in him that nature might stand up and say to all the world, "This was a man." Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Saturday, the 14th of April and two o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 15th of April with a Wake/Eulogy Service starting at half past six o'clock on Sunday with Rosary to follow in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, Houston, Texas 77057. Funeral mass will be celebrated at twelve o'clock noon on Monday, the 16th of April at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place, Houston, Texas 77061.
