Lon had been a resident of the Ardmore area the past ten years, moving here from Oklahoma City. He loved the outdoors and his favorite place was the lake where he spent his final years. He was "adopted" by a stray dog whom he named "Little Girl." The two of them enjoyed many peaceful days on beautiful Lake Murray. Prior to his retirement he worked in sales in Oklahoma City and Kingston. He was a hard worker but always found time to enjoy life.
Our family and many fond memories and holidays and celebrations at his lake house. He also enjoyed target shooting, boating and fishing. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include sons, Randy and Rodney Chaney, both of Ardmore; daughters, Londa Johnson, Oklahoma City, and Kecia Chaney; a brother, John Chaney and his wife, Rose, Lone Grove; and longtime friend, Leonard Shockley, Ardmore; and seven grandchildren
