James R. Cicotte, age 80 of Tecumseh, died Monday, September 24, 2007 in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born December 2, 1926 in River Rouge, MI the son of Phillip E. and Mary Rose (Drouillard) Cicotte. Jim married Dolores "Maxine" McCoy on April 7, 1945 and she survives.

Jim worked for 30 years for Peerless Cement and retired in May of 1976 to enjoy time with his family and the outdoors. He attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh.

In addition to his wife, Dolores, Jim is survived by one son Martin (Laura) Cicotte of Marine City, MI; two daughters Vicki (James) Graff of Tecumseh and Donna (Glenn) Lapham of Jensen Beach, FL; five granddaughters and four great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral liturgy will be held at 10 AM Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes with the Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-8 PM at the Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jim to Hospice of Lenawee.
