I guess my main problem is there is not a clear way to follow a danish line w/o more than a name. I am a little frustrated since trying to search pulls up every combination of the name. I would like to know the difference between the little slashes and dots. The search engine gives different results for each...I have found the best combination for searching is to check multiple sites because the format of a record differs between them. is the best I found for records of Danish Immigrants to use w/ records from Ancestry. I also did a basic internet search for Danish history and Immigration. I did not think Ancestry has a reference library for that kind of thing but I do not know for sure. I live a few hours away from the Danish History Museum in Elkhorn, Iowa and am planning a research trip when it warms up. Any requests or someone wants to meet there let me know. Has any body attempted the resources for danish immigrants at the local library's geneaology room/branch? I do not know if that would complicate this type of search more or work better because it a human doing it and errors are lower. I did find a ancestry member who is Danish(& wonderfully friendly and patient)and that helps, we are in the process of researching and working around the language barrier. My ancestor of interest is:
Jorgen "George" Iversen Frøsig
B: Oct 7 1875 in Vilslev, Ribe, Denmark
D: Jun 5 1961 in Illinois, United States
My grt grt grdpa on my father's side. Had 3 wives only 2 Known: Almeda "Mittie" Crandell & Marguerite Szakacz. He had a previous wife but this information is unknown.

With help and a lot of searching I have been able to find
