FamilySearch.org, as well as some UK sites, show my ancestor Adolf Witze died on-board the "Union" on 20 June 1866. Adolf's plan was to travel Hamburg>Hull>Liverpool>New York...he left Hamburg on 1 May, 1866 (Hamburg Passenger List) on the Lincoln (to get to Hull, then train to L'pool). I presume the Union was L'Pool>NY, but can find no such record of any ship of that name making that trip in that time frame (there was one in late Sept, but that's not it). In fact, I can't find any Union (on "theshipslist", for ex) making even a Europe>North America trip in that time frame (in case his plans changed). I even searched on "union" just being part of the name somewhere...no luck. Any ideas what to try next? I am trying to determine the Union's departure and arrival's ports and dates. Thnx

Note: Adolf was traveling with his brother Jurgen. Jurgen is also on the 1 May Hamburg passenger list, but I have never found a record of where and when he entered the USA...but he did make it to Troy,NY, by October.
