Gilligorm, according to ancient tradition, was the chief of the Lobans(Logans)around 1200. He was killed in a battle at Drumderfit during a feud with the Frasers. His widow was taken away by the Frasers and later gave birth to Gilligorm's son, Crotair(humpbacked) MacGilligorm. (His back was supposedly broken by the Frasers to prevent his taking revenge on them when he grew up.)Crotair later entered the Church, married, and had a son, Gillie Fhinnein(disciple of Saint Finnan.) MacLennan is the anglicised version of this name.
