Looking for information on Clem or Clement Long or Young of Forsyth County, GA. He owned land between Haw Creek Cemetery, Echols Cemetery and Strickland Cemetery. The family left for Oklahoma in the late 1800s and his will was probated in Logan, OK in 1909 or 1910. He first married Mary (?) who died before 1870. He then married Julia Ann (Minyard?). The Minyards appear to have been free Blacks and are listed on the 1850 census. She already had children. I believe Clem and Mary had several much older children since Julia Ann was the same age as my great grandfather, James Patton (1840). Clem is listed as the father on James' death certificate. One child appears to be Mary Frances, who married Price Smith. Was Parthenia Long also one of his children? Clem donated land for a school in 1869 or so. Was Clem Long related to Washington Long or Sally Long? Was he related to John W. Long (1817) who married Lucinda? If you have any information on this family prior to 1870, it would be greatly appreciated. I have hit a wall. Who owned Clem Long, if that was his name, or was he free?
