Donald:

My ggggrandfather was a Luker/Lucre [NJ] with Lenni Lenape heritage. He married a Cherokee woman [SC], last name unknown. All of their daughters were married to mix-blood Cherokee families. Their daughter Hepzibeth married a Dulin/Faure descendent [KY/MO] and it is through their son Patrick that I descend. Is it possible for me to find anything through a DNA test if my lineage crossed over from the mother to the son?

This is true for the family who married into this family. The male was a Humphreys and the woman a Cherokee Hobson [TN/AL]. Their daughter married a Simpson [MS], and, their daughter married the male from the first family. They first family moved to Republic of Texas in the 1820s with all the usual suspects of what I call the "Cherokee Triangle", the corner of TN/GA/AL

Thank you so much for the scholarship. I am most eager to find out my lineage. Judith
