Competition heats up - will this nudge Ancestry toward their browser alternative?

Ancestry's autosomal test is now the same price as *both* of the "other" companies. One is having a sale, but they say if they have enough orders they'll lower the price permanently. (Personally, I think that wording is just a way for the company to save face as they succumb to the autosomal test price drops.)

We know that Ancestry doesn't think that a chromosome browser is the way to go, but they hint that they're building something better. We here in the forums see the value of testing at Ancestry even without the tools (all the matches! all the trees!), but will we start seeing a mad rush toward that other company by people who will boil their choice down to "This one has a chromosome browser. This one doesn't"? (Especially the anti-Ancestry-for-other-reasons contingent?)

More importantly, is Ancestry going to worry about this and push out some features that will better separate them from the pack? (Probably not, but I hope so.)

(Edited to add: Sorry for the vagueness, but I don't want to risk crossing the border into advertising for any other companies. The equalization of prices among all three companies is an important development, though.)
