I did check sorta with Yates Publishing, they said they had JONATHAN & ANN TROVER HOWTON marrying in KY, but they didn't have a county listed, they also didn't have a copy of the marriage license, record, or bond. But for 15.00 they would mail me the addresses of other HOWTON researches, I figured that this would be a 15.00 wild goose chase. IF a researcher had this marrige license, bond or record, it seems to me that Yates would have had a copy.

I did talk with a lady from England and she said that the HOUGHTON is the American surname HORTON. But then again the census taker might have spelled Houghton, or Horton.
Jonathan was b. 1755-1757.

I don't have him been in New Orleans Louisiana wasn't New Orleans a territory until 1805 and then a state by 1812. Children:
8 boys & two girls
David, Abraham, Lewis, CURTIS (my direct line), Anne, Samuel, A. Mary, Joseph, James, & Jesse.
They are listed in the 1810 & 1820 Census Record.
Jonathan died 1826 and is buried in Hell's Half arce Cemetery.
I just wish I could find that marriage licesne or a clue where they were in the 1790 census, and 1800 census.
Thanks for your reply
I do appreciate your time
and any suggestions you can offer.
Thanks
Jan
