This is a common question. You might find a lot of useful tips by searching the board for existing threads the issue you're interesting in.

Long answer is no, the member tree program does not have this function. You can copy individuals and their immediate family (spouse, children, parents) in one hit, if you know how to effectively use that function on the review page. If it's a limited number of profiles you need to copy over, this is a good option.

If it's a large number, then using a desk-top gene program can perform this function, however Ancestry's product, FTM is the only one that syncs' data with the on-line member tree program.
