That is a great 'band-aid' solution until ancestry.com REALLY tackles this problem!!! I'm also not very technical so please confirm I've got it right - you add them to the invitee list with YOUR email address. THEN once you get the invite you go ahead and set-up their account for them. FINALLY, you send them a personal email with the link, user name, and password within it.

For the future, I'd like to see on the invitation page a second little check-box titled "send me a copy of the invite" next to the one allowing viewing of living persons. THEN, if someone has access problems, I already have the email in my in-box to forward ... and as one of their trusted friends, my email makes it swiftly through their ISP and spam filters. Such a simple and easy little fix that I hope it doesn't languish at the bottom of their enhancement list. Sigh (with a chuckle).
