Mrs. Marilou Weakley, 92, of Newark, Ohio, passed away February 27, 2012, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center.
She was born July 6, 1919, in New Castle, Pennsylvania,(Lawrence County) to the late Howard F. and Dorothy (Bookwalter) McKee.

She met her husband, Robert, while training as a Navy nurse during WW2, shortly before he was shipping out to the South Pacific.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Joel) Shore of Ft. Lauderdale; grandchildren, Eric (Angela) Priest, Jamie (Rob) Hutchison, Bobbie Fleeger, Mathew (Cathy) Weakley and Robert Weakley, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weakley; sons, Robert Michael McKee and Mark David McKee; daughter, Debbie Pigg, and brother, "Jack" John McKee.

Marilou was a very outgoing and generous woman, and was loved by all. She volunteered at many events and hosted parties for countless friends and relatives in both Ohio and Florida. She was a gourmet chef, hostess, elephant collector, and was very stylish. And, more than anything, was always concerned about the welfare of everyone around her.

A graveside service for Marilou Weakley, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark, Ohio followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Second Presbyterian Church, 42 E. Church St. Newark, Ohio with Rev. Charlie Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430, American Diabetes Association , Columbus/Central OH Office, 471 East Broad St. Suite 1630, Columbus, Ohio 43215, or to the American Cancer Society , Central Region Office-LCKG, 870 Michigan Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43215.
