Thanks for getting back to me, I think I should tell you the story I've been told by my dad about James Henderson. I was told that he was in the war and at he deserted and was found and taken back to the front lines and that is where he died. Now my dad told me that my aunty has his paper work and a large medal belonging to him that I later found out could is a death medal, but no sure if that is the right name for it. On asking my aunty about the info she did agree that she have this info but wouldn't let me see it and refused to finish the conversation about James Henderson. I have asked her again since but she always avoids the subject, I'm not bothered if he was a deserter or not I would like to confirm that he was or was not in the war. Do you know what this medal is so I could maybe find a picture so I could see what it looks like.
Now you can see why I am having a lot of trouble finding anything out about James Henderson, If only the 1921 census was available then I might be able to end this search once and for all.
Thank you for all your hard work.
