The buildings are still there. Evidently the state couldn't afford or didn't bother to have them taken down, so they're just crumbling away and being picked apart by vandals and the weather. My guess is that some of the vandals are the same illiterate crackpots who prattle about the place being haunted, spread completely unfounded stories about it, and imagine that they are "investigating" it. They need to get a life.

A map of Windsor in the 1876 F. W. Beers Atlas of Berkshire County shows the name "H. N. Winslow" beside the house. There are at least 13 Winslows buried in the immediately adjacent Bush Cemetery, only one of whom was alive in 1876, and his initials weren't H. N. Anyone who has a nodding acquaintance with researching land titles in the county Registry of Deeds -- i.e., any amateur genealogist, lawyer, surveyor or local historian -- could easily trace the ownership of the property back to 1790 or before, learning exactly who has owned it and exactly when.
