The R1b1... names do indeed change as more branches are discovered, so people will often use the name of their "terminal snp", or R-M222 in your case (if that is indeed correct).

As far as SNPedia, the guy who maintains it does post here from time to time, and he's the one who can explain all that.

The net of this is if you do test positive for a SNP that is listed in the ISOGG list, then you should go by their names and designations and not Promethease. I also suggest looking to see if there is a project for that group - they are always a good source of information.
