For quite a while, I’d thought Mary Davis 1788-1873, w. of Francis Davis (abt. 1780-1830 - my 4th great grandparents from Berkeley Co.), was probably a PRINGLE (their 2nd son was named Alexander Pringle Davis) but hadn’t got round to typing her surname into my Ancestry.com tree until a couple of days ago. Imagine my delight when a previous DNA match who had no surnames in common with me immediately came up as a Pringle from about! So now I’m wondering where she fits. As you can see by the obit, she didn’t remarry and returned to Berkeley Co. (from where?) just before her death. Her year of birth doesn’t really match any of the other Mary Pringles of her era. Any help greatly appreciated!
