Thanks so much for your help - I've filled in a bit below after talking to my father last night.

* Born March 1869 (per 1900 census)

* Immigrated ca 1877 young age (per 1920 census, no other source)
* Immigrated ca 1881 12 (per 1900 census & family story that he turned 12 on Ellis Island)

* Lived with relatives (aunt & uncle, or possibly cousins?) near Alexandria, Douglas, Minnesota (family story)

* Need 1880 US census and 1885, 1895 Minnesota state census to seek aunt and uncle name (will help in identifying him in Sweden)

* Married ca 1897 (per 1900 census) - marriage certificate should tell his parents' names
