Hello J. Antonio:
Just curious: Have you heard of a book called "The
Hummingbird's Daughter" by Luis Alberto Urrea? This is
the story of the real life saint of Cabora, Teresa Urrea who
was a curandera for the Yaquis and Mayos in Sonora and
Arizona. (Soon to be a major motion picture)
"Urrea" like Salido and Almada, is a family surname from
Alamos, Sonora. Surely you must know of General Jose
Cose Urrea y Gonzalez de Zayas (related to Ana Petra
and Barbara Gonzalez de Zayas), and his ancestors
Mariano Urrea and Bernardo Urrea.
Miguel Urrea of Alamos married Justina Almada y Gonzalez
de Zayas (her father was Jose de Jesus Almada and her
mother was Rafaela Gonzalez de Zayas).
All the prominent families of Alamos seemed to be
interrelated, especially Los Almada, since many branches
married into other branches.
Thanks J Antonio!
