Martin E. Milligan
A retired maintenance worker for the Vancouver School District, Martin E. Milligan died Monday in a Vancouver hospital. Mr. Milligan, 84, had fallen in his home Sunday and broken his hip.
Mr. Milligan had worked in the Kaiser Shipyards and at Alcoa. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Born Sept. 16, 1902 in Leechville, Ark., he last lived at 7815 NE 32nd St. He had lived in Vancouver since 1942.
Survivors include his widow, Audrey, at home; four sons, Noel Milligan of Denver, Colo., Edward Milligan of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alton Milligan of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Ron Rose of Washougal; four daughters, Nina Barlo of Leechville, Opaline Lincoln of Jackson, Mo., Naomi Smith of Batesville, Ark., and Mary Rogers of Searcy, Ark.; two sisters in Arkansas; and numberous grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 28th and Main Streets. The Rev. Ralph Isensee will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
