I'm looking for information on the Edward PARKER family of early Rowan county. Edward PARKER and his wife Susan moved from Halifax county VA in 1796 to Rowan and remained there until his death in 1821. There children were Daniel, David H., Peter S., Miles, Turner S., Susannah, Polly, Rebecca, Ketty, Patience, and Nancy.

According to the will of Edward Parker filed 1821 in Rowan County, NC he also had a son named Royal who predeceased him who was the father of Shelby Parker. For some reason the will does not mention Miles Parker although he is clearly a son. The will mentions son William Parker but does not include daughter Nancy Parker.

David Parker the son of Edward Parker did not marry Sarah Gabriel in Lincoln County, NC 11/12/1797 as is often seen. His spouse was unknown and since his oldest son Henry S. Parker was born ca. 1795 it appears unlikely that he married Sarah Gabriel in 1797. David Parker of Lincoln County, NC was the son of Peter and Elsie_____Parker of Iredell County, NC. He married Sarah Gabriel 11/12/1797 in Lincoln County, NC. He appears in the 1820 Lincoln County, NC Census while Edward Parker's son David Parker simultaneously appears in the 1820 Rowan County, NC Census.
