I found in the 1880 Census for Leeds Village, Northampton a Rose Tacy, living with her son Abram Tacy age 73 born in Canada. I believe this to be Rose/Rosella Luck who married Amable Tessier in Montreal in 1825 and moved to Clinton County NY about 1830, and I lose after 1860 in NY Census. Could anyone check to see if there is a death for this person and what her maiden name is?

Hello, my husband is great grandson of Rose Locke. She lived in Northampton which is where we are from. We are trying to find her husband Abraham. Do you have any information of when and where he died?

I don't think I have anything on him as I am a descendant of Rose's brother Samuel and didn't research the spouses that much. My guess is though that he may have died in Clinton County NY as that is where they settled for a long time when they came down from Canada. I do have a copy of Abraham and Rose's marriage record in Montreal. I also have an article I have written regarding the Luck family if you are interested you can email me directly at pacochran@comcast.net.

The last record that I have of Abraham is in the 1860 Census for Saranac in Clinton County where he was living with his family. In 1880 Rose is living with her son Edward in Leeds Village in MA. Don't have the 1870 for some reason. So Abraham died somewhere between 1860 and 1880.

I have to laugh sometimes because I've been doing this family for 32 years and the generations blend together if I don't have documents in front of me. Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am (pulling my hair out) doing some family research for my grandmother. My grandmother is Joyce Marie Palecki who was the daughter of Mabel Delia Tessier. My trail is going cold because there seems to have been a name change to Tessier from Tacy? I believe Mabel's parents are Adonzo Tessier and Gertrude Cadieux.... but I am so confused now I cannot be certain! Found an Alonzo Tacy the son of Abram Tacy and Julie Hart born in 1882 in Northampton. I'm pretty sure this is the same. And the Abram Tacy fits into the family of Abraham Tessier/Tacy and Rosalie Luck (the sister of my ancestor).

If we could find the marriage of Alonzo and Gertrude it would help not sure it may have taken place in VT as she is from that area.
