A Map of First Warrantees of Lehigh Township, Northampton Co.

I have been mapping tracts for Old Northampton County since 2000, including the townships of Lehigh, Old Towamensing, and Old Chesnuthill, along with parts of other townships. I created a book, and a map of Lehigh Township, which details all the information from all the Land Office records for each tract. I've helped many people over these 11 years through the RootsWeb email list for Northampton County with the information from my mapping project. The project started out as a genealogy research aid for my own genealogy and as the mapping progressed, I realized I had to put it in a form that everyone could benefit--especially since there were no formal tract maps to date. Closson Press just published the map and tract details. My goal with publishing this information is to help others like me.

Surnames: Diefenderfer, Diffenderfer, Tippenderver, Dubendorfer
Hi, Marie. Several of the Diefenderfer descendents, including me, are working to document our family tree with original information whenever possible. This family arrived on the William and Sarah in 1727. I wonder if any of their lands are found among your warrantees. As you can see, the name is spelled so many different ways, one has to check different first letters to find them. Tippenderver is how the surveyor in Bucks County spelled our surname in 1734 ;-) In the mid-1700s and by 1802, Godfrey Dieffenderfer of Macungine township was executor for his step-mother Gertrude's estate. Could you please contact me directly at pamalot at nc dot rr dot com? Thank you so much. Your book is such an impressive endeavor.
