Translation needed for Fagerhiem--couldn't find this in any Norwegian translations that I have

also snedkerlæling --I'm thinking this must be a carpenter apprentice or furniture maker--Is that correct?

Fagerheim would be the name of a place -- probably a farm name. To work out what the name originally meant you'd break it into it's two original words and translate those... fager and heim. But place names don't really need translating.

'snedkerlæling' is just slightly mispelled. After the æ there should be an additional r.
That word is also compound and you can break it into two words -- snedker and lærling.

You asked the same question yesterday on another forum and received an answer there.
You just decided you didn't like that answer?

When I checked back on norwayheritage.org after posting my question-no one had answered my question, so I decided to post one on this message board to see if someone would respond. I later saw the response on norwayheritage.org.

Thank you for answering
